One of Santana's most ambitious and meditative records, Welcome marked a deep dive into jazz, Latin jazz, and spiritual music — featuring collaborations with John Coltrane alumni and a sound that stretches from delicate balladry to the epic 11-minute Flame–Sky. A gatefold sleeve with embossed italic "Welcome" text on the front cover — a distinctive and collectible UK pressing.
